About Charles
While most discovered, began developing, and using their musical gifts while preschoolers, Charles, now 32, only realised his own at a later stage in life. Though vividly recalling having a yearning to play the acoustic guitar at the age of 9, it wasn’t until the age of 19 that he began experimenting to hold the four basic chords on the third fret for the first time.
Since then, he realised his impelling passion to create melodies that glorify God our Creator and encourage others to look to Him in whatever season of life they’d find themselves in.
Charles is a husband to his lovely wife Malina, a father to two adorable daughters Zoe and Gia, and together they currently reside in Cape Town. Aside from music, Charles enjoys woodworking through his founded homeware crafting business called Calm Being and has authored the book Obstacles: There Are Seasons And Places We Should Not Be Long In, Simply Because We Do Not Belong There. One of Charles’ deep aspirations is to see this entrusted material impacting others rather than impressing them.
